The Museum of Antioquia is located in the department of Antioquia in Medellín. This museum has been considered a National Monument since 1995 despite the fact that it houses collections of international importance. This museum has been the second to be founded in Colombia and the first in Antioquia. It is located exactly in front of the Plaza Botero.
The Museum of Antioquia houses a collection of over 5,000 pieces in which are found from goods that represent the archaeological heritage of the nation, to interesting pieces of art, even, the Museum of Antioquia has received as a gift works of the famous Colombian painter and sculptor Fernando Botero.
Visitors can learn about Colombian history, art and various artists in the country. As well as artists representing Medellín.
HOW TO GET TO THE MUSEUM OF ANTIOQUIA?
The Museum is located at Carrera 52 # 52 Street – 43 in downtown Medellín, near Berrio Park. To get to the Museum of Medellín you must use the Metro to the Carabobo commercial passage which is directly connected to the Museum of Antioquia. The Berrio park subway station also offers access to the museum.

The Antioquia Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
